One bizarre moment was when a dresser disappeared from my room, which I found quite odd. Despite some inconveniences, the friendly nuns added warmth to the stay, and having dinner upon request was a nice touch, though it would have been great to have more choices.

It was just a strong match for an overnight stopping in Rome with best value. They were really helpful and always managed to call a taxi right to the door. Make sure to practice some basic Italian to help ease communication.
